The whole world succumbed to Kylie ‘Fever’ in October 2001 when her eighth studio album
was unleashed. Preceded by the No.1 smash hit, ‘Can’t
Get You Out Of My Head’, ‘Fever’ shot straight
to the top of the charts in the UK, Australia, Germany and Austria
and hit the Top 10 practically everywhere else. In the USA Kylie
scored her highest entry yet on the Billboard album chart when ‘Fever’ debuted at No.3.
Kylie co-wrote five of the tracks on the album including the singles ‘Love At First Sight’ and ‘In Your Eyes’.
Oozing sensuous vocals over a backdrop of techno/electronica beats
and classic disco influences, ‘Fever’ confirmed Kylie’s
status as an international superstar and icon.
A special edition album was issued as to coincide with the release
of ‘Come Into My World’ featuring mixes and the previously
unreleased ‘Whenever You Feel Like It’, taken from the
soundtrack to the ‘Scooby Doo’ movie. ‘Fever’ is the most successful Kylie album of all time and has sold over
six million copies worldwide. |
